About the Hilton Theatre:
Located on the north side of 42nd St. between Broadway and 8th Avenue, the Hilton Theatre is a reflection and an upgrade to the theatres that used to sit in it's place. The Apollo and Lyric Theatres stood where the Hilton now stands, but after falling into disrepair in the early 90's the City of New York decided to make some changes.
The two theatres were demolished and replaced with the new and reused Hilton Theatre. Parts of the first two theatres were used to help build it, including the dome from the Lyric and the arch from the Apollo.
Its recent construction was in 2005 with a complete rennovation. Due to the fact that this is a very wide theatre, there are many seats that offer a great view of the stage even if you're not on the ground floor. It is one of the newer theaters in the area, built in 1996-98.
The only way to experience this great theatre is by purchasing your Young Frankenstein tickets! Don't miss out!
